The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.

The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that role reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the original manga and cartoon version.

The new cast member will work alongside a number of fresh additions set to bring Baroque Works to the screen, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Although this character is a key figure of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest further changes to the story’s structure.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
