Gun-wielding individuals have fatally shot an educator and abducted at least 25 students in an assault against a educational institution for young women in the northwestern part of Nigeria, police reports indicate.
The gang of attackers stormed the public educational institution for female students in Kebbi State's Maga area at roughly 4 in the morning local time on Monday, authorities reported.
The assailants "confronted officers on duty in a firefight" before breaching the school's outer barrier and abducting the learners from their dormitory, according to a statement.
