The President Invites Relatives of Injured Guard Soldiers to the White House

Former President Trump revealed on the weekend that he has asked the loved ones of a National Guard member killed last week to come to the White House.

He noted that he conversed with her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Details on the Heartbreaking Incident

Specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a violent incident on last Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Memorials across West Virginia have occurred in their honor.

Presidential Invitation

The commander-in-chief said he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” the president addressed reporters. “And in the same way with him, no matter the outcome.”

Community Support

Mourners came together over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to pay respects to Beckstrom.

Both they had been serving with the West Virginia National Guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to support law enforcement in Washington DC.

Paying Tribute to Sarah Beckstrom

“Sarah was the type of pupil that teachers desired. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that lifted people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the media. “She was kind, caring and always willing to support those in need.”

Funeral details for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Judicial Measures and Government Revisions

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of homicide and two counts of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy led the administration to halt asylum applications and cease granting visas to holders of Afghan passports.

Status of Wolfe

Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, started his military career in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, as reported by the news agency.

He is still undergoing care and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s leader Morrisey said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

The state’s top lawyer the attorney general informed a news show that she also intended to speak to the family.

Memory of Sarah Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County high school in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a military police officer with honor, per the state guard.

“She had a lot of goodness and she definitely had courage,” Morrisey informed the gathering at the vigil. “Though her time lasted far too short, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
