Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The influential industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
